Tighten Up Rehearsal Studios
Tighten Up Rehearsal Studios is a new facility servicing the Inside The Perimeter / Atlanta Metro Area Musical Community. It is a safe, relaxed space designed to give the professional, the band, the hobbyist, and student a place to turn up without having to worry about bothering anybody.
Tighten Up is located in East Point, near the airport and convenient to I-85 and 285. It features 12 studio spaces for rent by the month, ranging from 162 square feet to 321 square feet in size. One of the rooms is set up like a recording studio, with a live room and a control room, and has a combined size of 359 square feet. The rooms have 10 ft acoustic tile ceilings and have been extensively insulated to minimize room to room sound transmission. The floors are carpeted. They have solid wood doors and code access locks. Access to the building is also by key code locks. The building is well lit and features security cameras. There are large windows throughout the building and ample daylight in the hallways. The rooms are totally private and most do not have windows. There are three patios in the back of the building as well, over looking a small creek. There are 4 bathrooms, 2 men’s and 2 women’s. Tighten Up is one story and very handicap accessible. There is ample parking. Tighten Up is climate controlled and open 24/7/365.
Tighten Up also features two private lesson rooms, one furnished with a Grand Piano and the other with a vintage Fender Bassman 100 suitable for guitar and bass lessons. There is also an 893 square foot recital hall with an 80 square foot hardwood stage and large windows. The Grand Piano can be easily moved from the practice room to the hall, and the stage can moved around the hall.
Rehearsal spaces are available for rent by the month in 3 month intervals and do require an initial security deposit. Subleasing is allowed. Lesson rooms are available for rent by the hour or the half day, and the recital hall by the evening. Tighten Up also has storage closets under lock & key available for rent. All new accounts are handled through PayPal.
Tighten Up is operated by Jim Coley. He is a family man, born and raised and now raising in Atlanta. He is a professional musician going on 20 years now. Jim has taught guitar and bass over at Earthshaking Music for at least 15 years. He has performed in numerous Atlanta and Athens based groups including, but not limited to; 16 Bars Hip Hop Orchestra, Norman Frank and the Ghost Dance, Entropy, Collective Efforts, Basement, Cachaça, and the Hot Club of Athens.
